Mr L Vijayandran made his debut on Radio Television Singapore in the 1970s, as a young secondary school student, on an entertainment programme for youths – Maanavar Medai.
In his younger days, Mr Vijayandran had taken part in a singing competition wherein Mr Manickam Pakirisamy, a well-known entertainment producer at that time, was the guest judge. Mr Vijayadran had come in second in the competition.
Following the competition, Mr Manickam had identified Mr Vijayandran and had approached him to sing on television. Since then, there has been no turning back for Mr Vijayandran.
Through the years, Mr Vijayandran has taken pride to give only his best in terms of his performance, for every song opportunity given to him.
Till today, Mr Vijayandran ensures he looks his best, feels his best and performs his best. He is an exemplary figure to many young singers in the local Indian industry.
