Mr V Balakrishnan

Mr V Balakrishnan; born 1955, grew up with an extreme interest in arts and culture. He started his journey as a Bharathanatyam dancer and has been contributing to the arts industry for more than 30 years.

His career in Radio Television Singapore began in 1976 as an Assistant Producer. He was identified for his keen interest in production and was thereafter offered directorial opportunities. He was largely known for directing entertainment and arts and culture programmes

His work included popular entertainment series such as Ninaithale Innikkum and Theepangal Aayairam, a Deepavali Special series which featured song shoots in Europe. These series have been forever etched in the minds of the Indian community for the high engagement and entertainment value.

Given his keen interest in arts and culture, his creations always had a touch of class and elegance with immense focus on minute details.

This allowed for the content to reach greater heights and largely complimented.

Till today, Mr V Balakrishnan, plays a consultant role to many new and upcoming production houses and has been instrumental in the arts & hertige genre, with the latest being, Raagangal Palavitham which was commissioned in 2021.
