  • Alice Kwan

    Alice Kwan is a veteran media professional, with over 30 years of experience being a reporter and was active in the local entertainment scene for over 50 years.

    Prior to being a reporter, Mdm Kwan worked in record labels for 10 years, and also as an assistant in Mediacorp previously. She is well-known in the local entertainment scene as a veteran, having interviewed countless artistes and witnessed the ups and downs throughout her career.

    She is also well-respected due to her amiable personality, and is often known as ‘大姐’ (elder sister). After her stint in Shin Min Daily News where she spearheaded columns ‘管大妈日记’ and ‘管大妈回忆廊’ which received positive public reception, she now goes by ‘大妈’ (elder mother).

    With a passion in acting, she also appeared in many programmes such as Growing Up, A Mother’s Love, The Happy Trio, Modern Romance, Don’t Worry, Be Happy, Three Women and A Half, The Little Nyonya, Double Bonus, Absolutely Charming, 3 Wishes, and many others.

  • Amy Wong

    Amy Wong graduated from Shanghai Polytechnic Institution in 1974, and joined Asia Television Limited (ATV) in 1976, where she was promoted to Executive Producer in 1984. She left ATV in 1989 and joined Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB), where she is currently Manager for the Drama Productions department. Amy specialises in capturing personal and humanic relationships, and bring her productions to life while evoking audiences’ emotions.

  • Angeline Poh

    Angeline Poh is Mediacorp’s Chief Customer & Corporate Development Officer. In this concurrent appointment, she oversees Mediacorp’s audience engagement and programming across its multiple platforms; as well as manages the development and execution of corporate-wide strategy, projects, and initiatives. She also oversees the Singapore Media Academy, which offers training and education services for the media industry.

    Before joining Mediacorp, Angeline was the Assistant Chief Executive Officer of the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) responsible for developing the Tech & Media sectors. She also oversaw the development and implementation of Singapore’s public service content strategies and initiatives. Prior to the formation of IMDA, she led the Media Development Authority’s industry planning and development group.

    She also previously led a regional publishing business as Managing Director of McGraw-Hill Education. In this role, she led the growth and digital transformation of the company’s business in Asia across the Higher Education, School & English Language Training as well as Professional & Medical lines of business.

    Angeline’s extensive experience in industry development and transformation was built through her career at the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), where she held various positions. Most notably, she was the Director concurrently leading the organisation’s Planning division spearheading corporate-wide strategy development, implementation and performance management; as well as the Research & Statistics Unit responsible for economic research and forecasting. Angeline also led the InfoComms & Media Cluster which experienced significant sector-wide growth, including the introduction and development of the Interactive & Digital Media industry.

    Angeline graduated from the Nanyang Technological University and was awarded the Lee Kuan Yew Gold Medal.

  • Chang Long Jong

    Long Jong is the Group CEO of mm2Asia, a SGX mainboard-listed media and entertainment company with market presence in Singapore, SEA, Greater China, and USA. Before joining mm2 in 2017, Long Jong was the Deputy CEO of Mediacorp, responsible for its media businesses including TV , News, Radio, Print and Digital.

    Long Jong is the non-executive Chairman of Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities. He also sits on the Board of Thye Hua Kwan Nursing Home and a few commercial companies.

    Long Jong has been volunteering his services and making contributions in various national and industry projects. He is a past member of the Speak Mandarin Council, Pioneer Generation Taskforce, and Advisory Board of Singapore Media Festival. He is presently a member of Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s Advisory Committee for the School Of Humanities and Social Sciences, and an advisory panelist of U, a NTU alumni magazine.

  • Chang Ting Fei

    Entered entertainment industry in 1996, had experiences in company planning, scriptwriting, and executive production; worked as a drama producer for CTV and TVBS. In 2014, transferred to new media and worked as a manager at LINE TV. In 2016-2019, served as chef content officer at CHOCO TV. In 2019-2023, served as the vice president of Disney/FOX Chinese program production in Taiwan and general manager of KOKO Entertainment. Currently an independent producer and an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Drama, National University of the Arts. Well experienced with the connection between new and traditional media, and Industry-Academic collaboration. As a producer of “HIStory2 Crossing the Line”, which was nominated for 53rd golden bell awards (Best Miniseries). As a scriptwriter of “SARS(renamed as “Eye of the Storm” in 2023)” which won Ministry of Culture Award 2017 Movie Screenplay Excellence, won the 25th Taipei Film Festival Best Actor and Best Director, and was nominated for a total of 13 awards, and was nominated for a total of 8 awards including Best Narrative Feature Film at the 60th Golden Horse Awards.

  • Chua Chim Kang

    Chua Chim Kang is the Head & Chief Editor of Chinese News and Current Affairs, Mediacorp, a position he has held since March 2018. He spent 18 years working as a journalist in various appointments before joining Mediacorp. Presently, Chim Kang serves as Chairman of the Promote Mandarin Council, and as a Board member of the Singapore Centre for Chinese Language and Lee Kuan Yew Fund for Bilingualism. He is also a Member of the Business China’s Strategic Communications & Partnerships committee, and the People’s Association Chinese Culture and Language Advisory Panel.

  • Dasmond Koh

    A household name in Singapore, Dasmond Koh is a veteran in local media and entertainment industry with more than 26 years of experience. He is one of the most popular celebrities in Singapore, having won 10 of the Top 10 Most Popular Male Artistes at Mediacorp’s Star Awards. Dasmond was presented the All Time Favorite Artistes Award in 2021.

    Talented in multiple fields, Dasmond has diversified into a range of business ventures. He is the founder of the NoonTalk Media Pte Ltd, which comprises subsidiaries such as Events, Artistes and Academy. In addition, he is also the founder of a diving school with a chain of dive shops in Asia.

    His career journey started from a radio DJ to a producer, and to being the founder of one of Singapore’s leading media entertainment company. With his wealth of experience over the years in the industry, he has managed and oversees various creation and production of online dramas, live shows, commercials, and many others. Working with various directors, creative and production teams, this allows him to bring a wide range of experiences to his audiences. He has always got an eye of viewers’ expectation and that makes the shows he produces with high viewership and good reviews.

  • Dennis Yang

    Dennis Yang is the Founder and Managing Partner of Taiwan’s new original content development company Studio76. Studio76 demonstrates a new content business concept where they raise a regional fund to support and develop Chinese original stories IP out from Taiwan, develop the stories into digital-first, genre-focused Telemovies and mini-series for the worldwide OTT platforms. Studio76 is a joint investment from Taiwan's KKBOX Group and MegaBank as well as Aashi Broadcast Group's Dream Ventures from Japan.

    Prior to the launch of Studio76, Dennis was the Chief Content and Business Officer of KKTV, one of the top Taiwan home-grown SVOD/AVOD service focusing on premium Asian TV content. Aside from building a deep TV drama library of Korean, Japanese and Chinese dramas from Taiwan, China and Hong Kong, KKTV also launched own original production projects of web movies in a very unique short format and successfully gained commercial responses in the region.

    Dennis has more than 20 years of rich experience in digital entertainment business and commercial operations in Greater China and Asian markets, held senior management positions in MTV, Yahoo!, Warner Music and HTC before joining KKBOX Music Group to co-found KKTV in late 2015.

  • Derek Wong

    Derek Wong is currently Head of Viu Originals, SEA, MEA & South Africa. He oversees the overall strategic planning and content creation for these regions, which include Viu Original titles for these markets. Derek has over 25 years of television content production experience in both long and short forms and is responsible for some of Asia's most successful television formats ever produced.

    Derek started his production career in the Hong Kong film industry and subsequently moved to the television sector with Hong Kong TVB and STAR TV. He has worked at Sony Pictures Television Networks, Asia and was previously the Vice President & Head of Production and Creative Services for KC Global Media, overseeing all production and creative aspects for the organisation, including original production, on-air promotion, post-production and commercial production services.

  • Janine Stein

    Janine Stein is Editorial Director for ContentAsia's information platforms, including print, multimedia and online. She has covered the Asian television, media and satellite business across Asia since 1989 and has worked for, among others, The Hollywood Reporter (U.S.), South China Morning Post/Television & Entertainment Times (Hong Kong), Cable & Satellite Asia, Television Business International (TBI, U.K.) and Electronic Media (U.S.). Prior to 1989, she covered the African television and media industries for five years.

    Among other roles, she was TV Editor for an English-language national daily and a correspondent for industry magazine Southern Screen & Stage out of Johannesburg.

  • Ken Wu

    Ken Wu is a DJ and radio presenter for the Broadcasting Corporation of China and has been hosting the programme “娛樂e世代” on the I Like Radio network in Taiwan since 2000. He has won the "Best Pop Music Programme Award" at the 53rd Golden Bell Awards, and the "Best Pop Music Programme Host Award" at the 54th Golden Bell Awards. He has also hosted TVBS's "AIUEO," MTV's "日韓音樂瘋 " "我愛偶像 " and Channel [V]'s "Love JK".

    With over 20 years of hosting experience, he is the longest-serving host of TV Japanese and Korean music programmes in Taiwan's history and maintains good relations within the Japanese and Korean entertainment industries.

  • Lawrence Cheng

    Lawrence Cheng is a Hong Kong film actor, director, screenwriter, producer, and master of ceremonies. He has acted mainly in comedy films and currently hosts variety shows as a freelancer. Lawrence is well known for creating a hit radio drama series The Yuppie Fantasia, which was later adapted into a movie, a box office hit.

    He owns a YouTube channel 健康旦(Healthy Egg) with over half a million subscribers in just two years.

  • Lee Ee Wurn

    Lee Ee Wurn serves as the Programmes Director at the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC), spearheading initiatives to celebrate and preserve Chinese Singaporean culture. His diverse portfolio encompasses performances, exhibitions, talks, podcasts, and video content. Notably, he pioneered the RE.MIX Festival, dedicated to the youth, and the TGIF Music Station, spotlighting local Chinese music talents. With a background as the Vice-President of Chinese Entertainment Productions in Mediacorp, he has contributed to popular TV variety shows like Comedy Night, NKF Charity Shows, Star Awards, and SuperBand, showcasing his commitment to enriching cultural experiences in Singapore.

  • Lee Hung Sheng

    Lee Hung Sheng is a senior member of the Customer Group in Mediacorp, Singapore’s national media network. He oversees audience planning, content partnerships and acquisition, and management of the free-to-air channels and mewatch, Mediacorp’s OTT video streaming platform. Apart from strategising the delivery of a wide range of quality scripted, factual, sports and kids content across the network to serve the needs of our Mediacorp's audiences, Hung Sheng is also responsible for developing strategic partnerships that strengthen our capabilities in audience engagement and IP development.

    Prior to his current role, Hung Sheng served different positions within Mediacorp, including business and content planning for OTT, management of both English and Chinese TV channels, content commissioning, training and consultancy, and business development for the Greater China region.

  • Man Shu Sum

    Man Shu Sum is a veteran of the local media industry, with a wealth of experience in TV management, content development, as well as industry development.

    He started his career in Hong Kong as a writer and journalist, honing his skills in TVB and Ming Pao Evening News. He joined the Singapore Broadcasting Corporation in 1981 and spearheaded its entertainment productions as well as manages a satellite television channel in Taiwan. In 2000, he was appointed the COO of MediaWorks Singapore, and was tasked to start two new free-to-air channels.

    In 2005, Shu Sum joined the Media Development Authority (MDA) as the Director of Broadcast and Film, and was in-charge of developing Singapore’s media industry. He managed public service funding as well as the drive for the creation of high-definition content in Singapore’s nationwide high-definition TV trial. In 2008, Shu Sum left the MDA to join Mark Burnett Productions Asia as its CEO. In November 2009, Shu Sum re-joined Mediacorp to helm Raintree Pictures. In 2014, Shu Sum joined Hong Kong Baptist University as Associate Director of its academy of Film and appointed Professor of Practice 2019 and Endowed Professor in Film and Television 2020. He was also the vice-chair of the executive board launching the first and second Global University Film Awards under Hong Kong Baptist University in 2018 and 2020.

    Shu Sum has held the office of Chief Judge for the Asian Television Awards since 2006, and serves on many other committees. He currently holds the following positions:

    Mannson Yong is a friendly and active person who loves staying healthy by going to the gym often. With over 25 years of experience in broadcasting, he knows how to tell great stories and connect with people.

    He always looks on the bright side of life and enjoys grabbing every opportunity that comes the way.

  • Mark Huang

    As Senior Producer for Discovery Network, Asia-Pacific, Mark Huang is responsible for developing current and new program formats. He works closely with talents in Asia and has produced several award-winning series, including How Things are Made (Taiwan Made), Taiwan Revealed: Medical Elite, Man-Made Marvel: National Taichung Theater, Taiwan Military Elite, Tribe Alive, and Secrets of the Pangolin. He now works to create, produce and manage groundbreaking, innovative television programming for broadcast TV and the Internet, overseeing the efforts of multiple production companies simultaneously. He is constantly looking to create new programs, new genres, and finding new ways of talking to global audiences.

  • May-Yi Lee

    May-Yi Lee is the Factual & Animation Production Unit Lead at Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) in Greater China and Southeast Asia. The unit consists of best-in-class creatives from unscripted, factual and animation, and is responsible for developing and sourcing original content ideas, supervising productions, nurturing production talent (both on- and off-camera) and localizing international formats. May-Yi’s team is also responsible with identifying suitable projects for WBD’s linear channels and streaming services, as well as growing audiences for its IP across Asia Pacific.

    The production unit supports Creative Solutions, co-production and partnership teams across Southeast Asia and Greater China, as well as the international sales teams regionally.

    She was previously the lead for production and development of unscripted entertainment programming for WBD’s networks and services in Southeast Asia, Taiwan and Hong Kong. As part of this role, May-Yi developed and produced multiple series for release on WBD’s streaming services discovery+ and HBO GO, including Food Affair with Mark Wiens set in Singapore, The Bachelor Indonesia and Deane’s Dynasty produced in Thailand.

    May-Yi is an award-winning executive producer who has brought the best out of Asian storytellers on hundreds of productions over more than 20 years. She joined WBD in 2021 from National Geographic where she worked with creative talent across APAC and the Middle East.

  • Roland Lee

    Started the career in radio broadcasting since 1998, taking on multiple roles throughout the years in broadcasting, entertainment, and production field, while continued writing scripts, song lyrics and movie review columns in lifestyle and movie magazines.

    Took the role of the co-producer of the movie “The Dream Boyz” in 2015 and the producer of the movie “Shuttle Life” in 2016 which was nominated the Best Cinematography and the Best New Director in the 54th Taiwan Golden Horse Awards.

    Current position as the Head of Chinese Content Creation and Productions in Astro. Also, as the Executive Producer of Astro Original Series ‘Lost & Found’, ‘New Year Rendezvous’, ‘The Patient’ , ‘Once Upon a Kopitiam’, ‘The Queen’s Ploy’ in 2023, and ‘The Hidden Dragon’ in 2024.

  • Sabanitha Shanmugasundram

    Sabanitha Shanmugasundram oversees Mediacorp’s Content Commissioning & Commercial Engagement, and Indian Community Engagement. She leads the Customer Group’s efforts in developing effective programming and content integration strategies across its multiple platforms. Sabanitha brings with her 25 years of experience and expertise in the entertainment industry in Asia, across marketing communications, programming, channel management, and media distribution. Prior to joining Mediacorp, Sabanitha was a Media Consultant, providing consulting services on business transformation, product development and strategic value creation for Media & Broadcast networks in Asia. She started her career as a journalist in the UK and progressed to take on media and brand management roles in broadcast operations, content creation and network programming for several networks in the UK before moving across to Asia.

  • Simone Lum

    Simone heads the Growth and Audio team under Mediacorp’s Consumer Group where she oversees digital growth initiatives on owned and 3rd party platforms. This includes Mediacorp Drama and Entertainment YouTube channels, the Creators Network, 8days, melisten and Mediacorp’s entertainment radio stations (which excludes CAPITAL 958 and CNA938). Before taking up this new role, she was in charge of Mediacorp’s Chinese entertainment portfolio across television, radio and digital platforms as well as driving the transmedia content adoption.

    Prior to the move to Mediacorp’s Consumer Group, Simone led the content and partnership team in mewatch where she commissioned its first co-production “Blue Tick”. Simone is also a pioneer team member of xinmsn that spearheaded Mediacorp’s video-on-demand service and its first interactive web drama “Let’s Play Love”.

  • Tang Chien Chiang

    Tang Chien Chiang is a veteran media professional in Taiwan. He has 40 years of experience since he started his career in 1982, and produced many popular entertainment programmes such as Golden Partner, Happy Holiday, Diamond Stage, Good Luck, amongst others. He was also in Singapore Broadcasting Corporation from 1993 to 1996, where he helmed the Content Development department, and produced popular local programmes such as Fun Discovery, Those Were The Days, as well as the fourth edition of the Star Search 1995.

    He returned to Taiwan and had worked at multiple broadcasters and various companies such as Formosa Television, Power TV, SET Metro, Eastern Broadcasting, ETtoday, Wolves Valley and WebTVAsia Taiwan.

  • Teo Eng Tiong

    Eng Tiong, commonly known as E.T., currently serves as the Course Chair for the Diploma in Chinese Media & Communication at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. With over two decades of industry experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to guide aspiring media professionals.

    Eng Tiong's career is marked by a deep passion for storytelling and innovation. His directorial debut, "TRUTH BE TOLD," earned him a Best Original Film award at the Asian Film Festival of Rome in 2007 and was screened at the Shanghai International Film Festival in 2008, highlighting his contributions to the local film industry.

    As Course Chair, Eng Tiong actively collaborates with media industry partners to create opportunities for students. This collaboration enables them to innovate, explore creative storytelling, and stay abreast of youth trends. His visionary leadership and dedication to empowering the next generation of media talents make him integral to the program.

    Under Eng Tiong's guidance, the Diploma in Chinese Media & Communication inspires students to unleash their creative potential, embrace innovation, and make meaningful contributions to the vibrant world of media and communication.

  • Virginia Lim

    Virginia was previously the Chief Content Officer at regional streaming platform Viu, where she was responsible for all content strategies, production of original series and content investments across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and South Africa. She has more than 26 years of experience in the media industry, across functions, from managing P&L to operations, advertising, distribution, content, production, and marketing.

    She has helmed several key leadership positions, including at Sony Pictures Television Networks, where she spent 11 years, eventually running the networks business in Asia which is best known for its top-rated channels AXN and ONE. She is also no stranger to the Singapore scene, having started her career as a TV producer with Mediacorp, before moving to StarHub. She joined Mediacorp in 2021 as a Chief Content Officer, where she oversees the company’s content creation, syndication, production facilities and resources.
