Which type of video content should I send across?
There are altogether 9 video award categories open for submissions. You may select the award category that best fits your content. Your content must be wholly original and have all necessary rights cleared for participation in The Pinwheels prior to submission of your application. All entries must range between 1min to 45mins in duration, sent online and set for “public” viewing. It must be produced in Singapore, for the Singapore market and uploaded on any social media platform between 1 November 2022 and 15 May 2024. Unless stated otherwise, all entries must reach us by 04 Aug 2024, 2359 hours (SGT).

Can I submit an entry on behalf of another person or group?
Yes you may, however all submissions must be original. The entrant must either own the work or have permission from a client or copyright owner to submit an entry, with all rights granted therein. All necessary consents must be obtained, and written proof provided on the application form. Without which, the entry will not be accepted. The Pinwheels is not liable for any copyright infringement on the part of the entrant. Entries that are deemed to be of poor quality, incomplete, pornographic, plagiaristic, propagandic, defamatory or otherwise inappropriate will be disregarded.

How many entries are allowed per video award category?
Up to 3 different video entries per award category are allowed.The same video may not be submitted for multiple categories.

How will the entries be assessed?
100% of your video submission will be evaluated based on theoretical (20%) and practical (80%) aspects. Theoretical aspects may include but are not limited to motivations and the inspiration behind the production. Practical aspects may include but are not limited to the concept, writing and quality of the production.

Who are the judges?
The esteemed panel of judges for The Pinwheels comprised of industry leaders and experts from a diverse range of organizations, bringing with them a wealth of expertise and insights.

How do I maximize my chances of winning at The Pinwheels?
Ensure your entry fits the submission criteria after reading through the FAQs thoroughly. Craft the 100-word write-up well, clearly define your content impact and provide supporting documents (if any). Review shortlisted and winning entries from the past. Check for missing fields or typos and proofread before sending. Follower and view counts do not matter as much as quality content!

What is The Pinwheels?
The Pinwheels, Singapore’s content creator awards honour excellence in video content creation.
Nominees will compete to become the 1 winner under each award category. -
Why should I participate?
At zero submission fees stand to win up to $20,000 production grant, more opportunities to network and participate in Mediacorp productions! It raises profile and establishes credibility for yourself as a brand.

Are award submissions meant for Bloomr.SG MCN Creators only?
No, The Pinwheels is open to all individual and/or group content creators who are Singaporean or Singapore Permanent Resident and involved in the process of conceptualizing, managing, producing or marketing video content in Singapore.

Will my video be used in any other way?
Yes, it may be used for purposes relating to the promotion of The Pinwheels.

How do I find out about the results?
Finalists will be announced in September. They, including the winners will then be invited to grace the award ceremony on 25 Oct 2024 (Fri) either virtually or in-person, depending on the prevailing safe management measures.
