Wang Zheng

Wang Zheng is a prime time anchor for Mediacorp, Channel 8 news, fronting News Tonight, the channel’s flagship nightly news, Singapore Today and Hello Singapore.
Since joining Mediacorp in 2005, she has proven to be an effectively bilingual news professional. In 2012, she moved to Shanghai, China as CNA’s correspondent, reporting in both English and Chinese for Mediacorp.
Wang Zheng has interviewed prominent public figures across various fields, including Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple Inc, Hamish Dodds, then president/CEO of Hard Rock International, Chinese moguls Wang Jianlin, chairman/president of Wanda Group, Zong Qinghou, chairman of Wahaha Group, Chinese contemporary artist and activist Ai Weiwei, actor and philanthropist Jet Li, and Chow Yun-fat, to name a few.
Wang Zheng has covered several major news events, including the 2011 Singapore presidential election, 2012 by-election, 2012 anti-Japan demonstrations in China, Singapore National Day Parade, New Year and Chinese New Year celebrations, and Singapore Grand Prix.
Her charismatic presenting persona makes Wang Zheng a popular host for various platforms. She has on numerous occasions been invited as Master of Ceremonies for government and corporate functions.
Wang Zheng has been nominated for Best News Anchor and Best News Report at the Asian Television Awards, as well as Singapore Star Awards.
